Penketh High School has developed a fantastic programme of activities which are designed to reflect the diverse interests of the pupil body. The main objective of the enrichment programme is simple: to ensure all pupils are able to access and experience a wide range of activities, including those they may not ordinarily have the opportunity to access outside of school.

The enrichment activities have become an important and exciting feature of school life. The decision was taken to extend the lunch period from September 2018 to create a time each day when pupils can attend a number of enrichment activities. Some staff also offer a number of activities after school. These activities have become an important and exciting opportunity that pupils can access at lunchtime and also contribute enormously to our pupil’s personal social and academic development.

Both Teaching and Support staff at Penketh have developed an extensive range of over 50 clubs to attend over the two-week timetable, which includes Mandarin Chinese, Beginner’s Latin, Wool Craft, Chess Club, Memory Club, Craft Club, Debating Club and a wide range of sporting and musical activities.
