Make Progress & Achieve Success

We set all our pupils ambitious targets at the start of year 7, challenging them to make outstanding progress by the time they leave at the end of Year 11.

Stay Connected

YES, Year 11!! What a great attitude! Taking responsibility for your own success πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ Huge thanks to you @Mr_Doyle_Chem #futureself

Wow fantastic! Astronomy club is such a popular club within our enrichment offer! Another great example of pupils being able to extend their knowledge and understanding beyond the taught curriculum! Great work from pupils and @DrG_Sci!! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ”πŸͺ

Such a fantastic event! Always a pleasure to welcome pupils from local schools into our community! Great for us to provide some taster sessions in lessons they’ll be undertaking next year in secondary, but also that author @RachelSLyon could conduct some workshops with them!

Another fantastic opportunity for pupils to extend their understanding, always fantastic to be involved in the @unitedutilities STEM masterclass projects and to work with our @tcat_uk partner schools! πŸ‘

Glad you enjoyed it sir and thank you for facilitating. So important that lessons get off to that β€˜Strong Start’ everyday.

Our first whole-school deliberate practice sessions being launched this morning. Teachers getting straight in there with practice rounds!

Model and practice in full flow here in music. Mr Davies providing granular feedback to a Y7 pupil to master her technique.

Enjoyed a brief moment in @miss_martland class this morning with @UniofOxford calculating R rates and vaccine responses to a pandemic. Eye opening work!

The ebb and flow of classroom practice is a thing of beauty. Teachers explaining, modelling, checking understanding. All helping young people to master new learning.

Lovely morning with year 9 trying out @GCHQ puzzles and @CyberDiscUK. We've definitely got some brilliant future code breakers.

We also visit @SparkPenketh, a fully-functioning and award-winning #makerspace which embeds making in the heart of a high-school curriculum and is a real inspiration to the maker community.

Did we mention the course is free to sign up for? https://bit.ly/3fsnGLf Come join us.

Joint project with Mrs McNally today after our students was asked to help design a #sensoryroom for our local care facility.

Some amazing designs year 7, giving this some real thought πŸ‘β€

We've had a great day year 8. I'm really impressed with you all. Keep thinking about #AI careers and great job coding the supervised learning model today β€πŸ‘
